IN our second feature for the 2009/10 season, we will be asking past and present players and the coaching staff what has inspired them in their lives and in football.
We'll be getting up close and personal with Roberto Di Matteo's men every Thursday in 'My Inspirations'.
This week, we chat to young defender Joe Mattock.
Q1. Which teacher?
JM: My PE teacher, Moira. We called all our teachers by their first name. She was really into what she did and really wanted to teach, and because she knew what I was good at she encouraged me a lot.
Q2. Which song?
JM: I listen to a lot of dance music and there is a remix of a song called 'Let Me Be Your Fantasy' that I really like. My favourite DJ is Laidback Luke.
Q3. Which person outside of football as a teenager?
JM: I've got a couple of good friends called Courtney Nelson and Kirk Hobson. We have known each other a long time. They come and watch me play and we are there for each other.
Q4. Which coach as a youth team player?
JM: Steve Beaglehole at Leicester. He was really good when I was in the youth team. We won the league under his management.
Q5. Which film?
JM: I haven't really got an inspiring film but my favourite is 'American Gangster'. I just think it's an interesting story.

Q6. Which manager?
JM: Roberto Di Matteo. It hasn't been that long since he played so he can understand us and relate to us easily. All my managers have been good to me, though. I'm still young and learning from everyone.
Q7. Which book?
JM: I'm not a massive reader. I read Paul Gascoigne's autobiography and it was interesting to learn more about his life and career. He was a great footballer.
Q8. Which famous person?
JM: David Beckham. More so when I was younger, though. He made me want to be a footballer.
Q9. Which team-mate in your career?
JM: Richard Stearman, who I was at Leicester with. He is at Wolves now. He is one of my best mates. He is just a couple of years older than me and, when I started getting into the first team at Leicester, he showed me the ropes.
Q10. Which sportsperson outside of football?
JM: No-one in particular but, if I had to choose someone, it would be one of the top golfers. I play a lot of golf. My handicap is about 16 - which is all right I suppose!
