WBA Former Players' Association

Posted on: Fri 04 Apr 2008

WEST Bromwich Albion Former Players' Association otherwise known as 'The Old Baggies' was formed by two ex-players Brendon Batson MBE, then Managing Director of West Bromwich Albion and Graham Williams, captain of the 1968 FA Cup-winning team, in 2003.

Batson is President and there are many other committee members such as former Baggies Williams, Ally Robertson, Nicky Cross and various long-standing supporters.

The objective of the association is to bring together former players to support them and to raise funds for various charities.

The association raises funds by working alongside the club and the supporters' club to organise dinners, golf days, with the former players attending these functions.

The association has more than 100 members and helps members or their relatives less fortunate than others with financial, personal and moral support when required.
