Goalkeeping development centres

Posted on: Fri 03 Sep 2010

THE Albion Foundation are running six-week goalkeeping development centres - which kick off this month.

Sessions for 12-16 year olds will be staged on Mondays (starting on September 13) between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.

Sessions for seven-11 year olds will be staged on Fridays (starting on September 17) from 4.45pm-5.45pm.

Each centre will be delivered by Academy goalkeeping coach Mark Naylor inside the club's impressive indoor training facility at the Tom Silk Site, Halfords Lane, West Bromwich.

The six-week programme costs £42.50 and will cover basic handling, shot stopping, crossing distribution, one-on-one scenarios and game-related practice.

Albion's first-team goalkeeping coach, Dean Kiely, will also attend a session of each age group.
