Reuben goes into the wilderness!

Posted on: Tue 02 Mar 2010

YOUNG Albion Foundation employee Reuben Bowen is taking a journey to the remote islands of Scotland via a Wilderness Development Course, which is part of the development of the TKAP (Tackling Knives Action Program).

Reuben will spend six nights with a variety of people from different backgrounds - all tasked with building their own shelter when they get there.

Anyone who has seen the weather in Scotland lately will wish him well!

The course is designed to develop personal leadership skills to help participants engage with other individuals, with the aim to reduce serious youth violence.

Reuben will support The Albion Foundation in the dissemination of this vital work upon his return.

Coaching and workforce development manager Ryan Maye said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for Reuben to develop his skills.

"He has done fantastically well in his progress with The Albion Foundation and we wish him all the best with the challenge ahead."
