Tshani wins special prize
ALBION Study Support Centre have celebrated another successful term by recognising youngsters' effort, attainment and attendance at a celebration evening.
Through our strong partnership with PC World, at M6 Junction 9, who donate high value, high impact prizes, young people have the opportunity to win our 'Player of the Season' award.
This term Tshani Thompson-Wilson, who attended our 'Playing for Success' programme on Monday evenings, won an iPod Shuffle for her hard work effort and excellent behaviour.
Tshani has, with her group over the last ten weeks, completed activities which include creating photo stories, podcasting, visiting the club shop for a numeracy activity.
Senior learning mentor Dave Kelly, who nominated Tshani for the prize said: "Tshani, who is in year five at St. James C of E Primary School in Oldbury, is modest and hard-working.
"She always puts in 100 per cent effort, and even if she doesn't think she can complete a task, she will give it a try.
"Teachers from her school all commented on her effort and excellent behaviour both during the programme and in school, and were all very proud of her when she won the prize."
