ALBION'S community programme continues to lead the way after picking up honours at the Dudley Local Authority Sports Awards.

The Baggies were recognised for their contribution to PE and School Sport and coaches Jon Ross and Adrian Dove also received awards for their work within schools.

Albion's assistant community director Jamie Bunch said: "In less than three years Jon, in his role as development officer for Dudley, has produced an activity programme in Dudley which is now being recognised.

"In addition to these awards we are now discussing strategic programmes in the Dudley Authority across several areas of our scheme, including mainstream coaching in varied sports and inclusion-based projects.

"This very much supports our strategic plans to engage with our wider fanbase and communities beyond Sandwell.

"Well done to Jon, Adrian and everyone who has played a part over the last three years."
