IMPACT Coach - combining sport with education - Salary range: £14,000 - £16,000

West Bromwich Albion Community Programme (registered Charity 1081948) is a well established and successful provider of Sports and Education programmes.As part of our on-going development, we are looking to recruit a Community Coach to join our team.The successful candidate will be largely based at St Michael's CE High School in Rowley Regis working with young people, their teachers and their parents/carers.

Reporting to the Education Development Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for adapting and developing a football based literacy and numeracy curriculum support package for both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 that uses 'WBA FC' as the medium to learn.

As well as delivering education, the role includes football coaching and supporting the schools' extended agenda by facilitating after school study clubs.

The ability to monitor and evaluate all activities will be essential to ensure successful development and sustainability of this new, exciting post.

The role will also provide a fantastic opportunity to work within a nationally recognised Community Programme and to participate in a new, innovative project.

The candidate

Will hold a minimum FA Level 2 Football Coaching certificate and have gained previous experience from within a school or sport setting.You may also have gained further education or sport qualifications from working within the school environment.You will a genuine inclusive ethos as much of your work will benefit young people with special educational needs and both learning and physical disabilities.

More importantly you will have the passion, vision and ability to use the brand of a West Bromwich Albion FC to develop, deliver and then enhance this new programme.

Your excellent coaching skills and the ability to engage with young people, their teachers and parents / carers will be essential, as is some experience of working in an educational setting.
