
LIAM O'NEIL (centre-back, b 31/07/93, Cambridge): Signed from Blue Square Premier League outfit Histon. He is very comfortable in possession and a good ball player.

KEMAR ROOFE (midfielder, b 06/01/93, Walsall): An attacking and creative player. He has done well to overcome a serious hernia-related injury.

JAMIE EDGE (Midfielder, b 09/09/93): Albion signed Arsenal youngster Jamie Edge on a one-year deal in August.
The 17-year-old midfielder left the Emirates Stadium by mutual consent this summer and will be part of the Baggies' development squad.
He spent a period on trial at The Hawthorns during July and played in Albion's 1-0 and 3-2 pre-season wins at Telford and Kidderminster respectively.
The Gunners plucked Edge from Cheltenham Town, where he was involved in the senior set-up as a school boy, in the summer of 2009.
His tenacity and ability to break up play in the middle of the park saw him play 20 times for Steve Bould's Under-18s side and make one substitute appearance for the reserves in his two-year spell with the Gunners.
Second-year scholars (Under-18s)

SHANE LEWIS (goalkeeper, b 04/06/94, Solihull): Joined Albion's Academy at Under-13s level. Technically very good. Called up by England Under-17s in July 2010.

JORDAN TUNNICLIFFE (centre-half, b 13/10/93, Nuneaton): Been at Albion's Academy for over seven years. He is very competitive and in the John Terry-type mould of centre-back.

MARK HINGLEY (centre-half): Been at the club five years. Plays from the back and brings the ball out well. He is composed and assured and can also play as a holding midfielder.

DONERVON DANIELS (centre-half, b 24/11/93, Montserrat): Quick, strong and powerful.

NIALL WELLINGTON (wide-left/full-back): Been at the club since Under-13s level. Quick, athletic, strong and crosses the ball well.

BRADLEY GARMSTON (wide-left/left-back, b 16/01/94, Burton): Part of Republic of Ireland Under-19s squad. One of the quickest players in the country for his age.

SERGIO MENESIO (midfielder): Been at the club two years. He is a holding midfield player. Strong and competitive.

TOM TURTON (midfielder, b 04/01/94, Sandwell): Has been at the Academy for over six years.Technically very good and has good vision. Uses the ball well.

ELIKEM AMENKU (midfielder): Played for England Under-16s two seasons ago. Left-footed central midfielder. Joined the Academy at Under-13s level. Good athlete and technically good.

MANI O'SULLIVAN (wide left or right, b 18/09/93, Aylesbury): Released by Watford and was brought in for the last two months of the 2009/10 season on trial. Technically very good and intelligent. Can also play in the No.10 role in the hole.

ADIL NABI (striker, b 28/02/94): He was handed his first pro contract on March 9, 2011. He penned a two-year Albion deal to keep him at the club until June 2013, plus a further year's option in the club's favour. He has been with the Academy for nine years. Technically very gifted, has a good eye for goal and a good goalscoring record. Also, has two brothers in the Academy.

DAVID GOLDSMITH (striker): Joined Albion at Under-14s level. Likes to make runs in behind defences and has excellent movement. Dogged and hard-working he is the sort of striker defenders do not like playing against. Called up by Wales Under-17s in summer 2010. Qualifies to play for Wales through his mother.

JOEL AMBALU (striker, b 19/12/94, Kinshasa, Congo): Has been at the Academy since Under-13s level and was part of the 2009 Nike Cup-winning side. Quick, strong and athletic No.9.

WESLEY ATKINSON (midfielder, b 13/10/94, West Bromwich): Joined club at Under-13s level. Aggressive, breaks play up and technically good. Member of the 2009 Nike Cup-winning team.

AARON BIRCH (midfielder, b 6/1/95, Stourbridge): Intelligent, technically-good footballer and scores goals. Part of England Under-16s training group last season. Member of the 2009 Nike Cup-winning side.

JORDAN FRANCIS (right-back, 12/12/94, Birmingham): Been with Academy for six years. Athletic, quick, technically very good and looks to get forward. Member of the 2009 Nike Cup-winning side.

ALEX JONES (striker, b 28/9/94, Sutton Coldfield): Goalscorer, shows good movement and he has combined very well with Joel Ambalu over a number of years. Member of the 2009 Nike Cup-winning side.

KIERAN McCALLA (centre-back, b 6/9/94, Birmingham): Solid defender, heads it well and looks to play out from the back. Member of the 2009 Nike Cup-winning side.

JACK ROSE (goalkeeper, b 31/1/95, Solihull): Represented England Under-16s. Excellent shot-stopper, is in great physical shape and has great potential. Member of the 2009 Nike Cup-winning side.

RYAN WINWOOD (midfielder, b 6/2/95, Sandwell): Intelligent footballer and shows good movement. Member of the 2009 Nike Cup-winning side.
