Baggies midfielder plays out goalless draw for DR Congo

YOUSSOUF Mulumbu’s dream of reaching the 2014 World Cup finals is over after his DR Congo side fought out a goalless draw with Cameroon in Kinshasa last night.

The Baggies midfielder played 90 minutes as the Leopards secured a third draw in five African Zone Group I games to take their tally to six points.

They remain in third, with one round of games remaining, but can no longer clinch top spot - and a place in the play-offs for Brazil - with second-placed Cameroon and leaders Libya set to meet in September for that honour.
