Interesting facts

The Baggies have not won at St. Mary's in their four visits to the South Coast club since 2003. The stadium was named after a nearby church whose members formed the club in 1885 as St. Mary's Church Young Men's association.

The Rolling Stones' 'Honky Tonk Women' was number one when Albion last won at Southampton in August 1969 - Alan Ashman's side overcame the Saints 2-0 at The Dell courtesy of a Colin Suggett brace.

Steve Clarke's side are only one victory away from recording their highest number of wins in a Premier League season (14) - and their best return in the top flight since 1984/85 (16).

Mauricio Pochettino's outfit are undefeated in their last six Barclays Premier League fixtures (won three - drawn three).

Albion have conceded three goals less than at this stage last season and are on course to set their best-ever defensive record. They will need to let in fewer than eight goals in their remaining five fixtures to do so.
