GEORGE Thorne's first-ever senior goal helped secure Peterborough a dramatic 5-4 victory over Bolton at London Road on Saturday.

The 19-year-old midfielder played all 90 minutes as the Posh earned back-to-back wins to stay within touching distance of 21st-placed Sheffield Wednesday in the npower Championship.

Chris Wood netted his 11th goal of the season as Millwall were defeated 2-1 by Barnsley at The New Den. 

Jerome Thomas featured for 68 minutes of Leeds United’s 2-1 home triumph over Middlesbrough.

Donervorn Daniels made his Football League debut as Tranmere lost 5-0 at Swindon in League One on Friday.

Sam Mantom did not miss a minute of Walsall’s 1-0 win over Colchester at the Banks’ Stadium.

And Cameron Gayle played all of Shrewsbury’s 2-2 draw at Bury on Friday.
