Black Country rivals set for battle to reach Birmingham County Cup Final

SPORTING Club Albion Ladies travel to derby rivals Wolves on Sunday (ko 2pm) with a place in the Birmingham County Cup Final at stake.

The Baggies are in terrific form heading into the semi-final, winning their last four games and scoring almost 30 goals in the process.

And manager Dave Lawrence hopes his side can make it through to a major cup final.

“Training has been high intensity, which is a mentality that will be needed on Sunday,” he said.

“We know we have a battle on our hands and we will need to be at our best to get through to the final.

“We have played well in the last few games, created goals and defended better than we did before Christmas.”
