And Clarke has doubts over returning internationals

BEN Foster has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash with Chelsea (ko 3pm) – but the Baggies No.1 is hoping to return to the training pitch on Monday.

He will miss his second successive game as he continues his recovery from a minor groin operation.

His absence leaves the way clear for Boaz Myhill to continue in goal after making his first Barclays Premier League appearance in almost 21 months in last Saturday’s 2-1 win at Wigan.

Steve Clarke has also revealed a couple of players have returned from midweek international duty with knocks and are doubts to face the European champions – but would only confirm that Gareth McAuley was struggling after the Northern Ireland game.

Romelu Lukaku is not eligible to play against his parent club.
