And boss explains extent of Popov injury
STEVE Clarke is sweating on the fitness of James Morrison after he limped off with a groin problem in Saturday’s 3-0 win at Southampton.
The Scotland midfielder came off in the 78th minute and was replaced by Billy Jones.
The Baggies boss also revealed Goran Popov could be out for up to a fortnight after picking up a calf injury the day before the St Mary’s Stadium clash.
Chris Brunt, who missed the Saints encounter due to a knee problem, remains a doubt for Saturday’s home game with Wigan (ko 3pm).
While Marc-Antoine Fortune will serve the first game of his three-match ban for his red card on the south coast against the Latics.
But Clarke will be able to call on Youssouf Mulumbu again after he completed his three-match suspension.
