And Mel says injury shows why whole squad is important

CLAUDIO Yacob will have a hamstring injury assessed tomorrow before Albion head to Spain the following day for a six-day training camp.

The Baggies midfielder was forced off in the 63rd minute of tonight’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea due to the problem.

And for Mel, it emphasises his point he will need to call on his entire squad for the remainder of the season.

“We’ll know more on Yacob tomorrow,” he said.

“It is a hamstring problem.

“Tomorrow is a day off and then we travel to Spain.

“I need all the players.

“Today, Amalfitano, Thievy and Berahino all did well.

“It’s good because over the last 12 matches we need all the players.

“Only ten, 11 is no good for me.”
